Technology
It is of my belief that technology greatly enhances our students’ abilities to succeed.
*Class Website: communicate with parents and students about important information. Links to instructional resources. Examples of student work. Wall of Fame picture of students who answered the weekly challenge correctly.
*Curriculum: All of my lessons are on Notebook files that students can access through Edmodo. From there, they can open it in Notability and have access to the notes I created right on their iPad and add on to them.
*Formative Assessments: There are many websites such as ThatQuiz.org and Kahoot. It that allow you to assign a quick assessment of how well the class as a whole/and each individual know the concept and if further instruction is needed.
*Authentic Audiences: Students engagement increases when they know more than just their teacher will see their work. With apps like Explain Everything, students can make instructional videos, and post-it online for others to use as a resource. Students can write problem-solving blogs
Email: A few times throughout the quarter, parents will receive emails about current content, upcoming assessments, and other useful information.
